Funny Question

Hey Guys,

Buddy has a 94 pontiac firebird formula, 350. Him and i have taken off and he blowes me away everytime. I have a 92 camaro 3.1 v6. Is there anyway of keeping up to him or maybe passing him? I know he wil lhave so much faster exceleration because of the V8. I thought about Hypertech chip, New cam and headers. I already have a cold air intake and dynomax exhaust system. Also if my car is at a stop sign and just floor it is that hard on the tranny? Thanks!!!!!

buy a turbo kit, other than that, bracket race him. Post up the times/results.

I have an 4 speed automatic. He has a six speed manual. Will the 2.8 headers work on the 3.1? Ive searched but cant find them for the 3.1. Will the cam, headers, and chip get me closer to him? I dont have the money to pay a couple grand for the turbo kit.

hypertec chips are a joke so are just about any off the shelf chips,they just remove the speed limiter,add some timming,and turn the fan(s) on sooner

and the 2.8 headers will fit the 3.1 but u need to remove the smog pump for them to fit

it aint gonna happen N/A. it hasnt yet. the most modded v6 on here thats N/A is running a 14.97. youve gotta go w/ boost or nitrous to get much lower times.

I know what you mean, I have a 92 bird v6 auto and I can almost never beat any of my friends v8, does anyone know where I can get the turbo kit? I can't afford it now but that's what working for what makes you happy is all about. Does a turbo kit make that much of a difference? I'm in the same boat you're on though and they look at me like he's got a v6 he can't do anything, but I really like my v6 so I'm working towards making it a strong v6, maybe even a v8 killer one day.
