Need some Ideas from the pros
Has anyone here actually done any high level performance upgrades to your 3.1l v6? I'm looking for some bolt on ideas and maybe some in depth upgrades. I'd like to have the torque and power of a v8 but i'm not ready for the swap and i can't afford the gas. I've already went to a K&N Air filter in the stock intake setup, and a Flowmaster 80 series muffler with the single in dual out catback style.
Thanks for any help!

To get the power and torque of a v8, you'll have to have the same amount of fuel as the v8, so gas isn't a reason to do it.
For the amount of time it'll take to do the in depth upgrades to the 6 and get it to the point that it'll be reliable, it'll take more time and money than just a swap.
Now, if you're doing the upgrades because you think it'll be fun, then there's a real reason to do it.
The first place to start is airflow, you'll have to either have the stock, cast iron heads majorly ported or switch to the FWD aluminum heads and custom intake/ignition system.
Do a serious search on this subject and you'll get all the info you need. This has been asked so many times that there are many threads and a lot of good information on what needs to be done to get power out of the 660 motors.
G/L and have fun, just know that you are in for a SERIOUS project if you're trying to get good, solid, reliable power.
