Torn between 2 cars....i need input

Hey, I'm thinking of buying my first American made car, what better than an old F-body. I've narrowed down my choices to two cars, but some input would be nice from people who really know these cars. One is a 1988 V6 Automatic with 107,000 miles on it, but the history of the car is unknown seeing that its from a dealership(dont know timing belt changes and whatnot). The other car is a 1991 V6 Automatic with 165,000 miles on it, but the guy has owned it and maintained it since 1993, so it has the benefit of knowing its been taken care of for the most part. Which would be the better choice? low miles and no history, or good history and high miles........Personally im leaning towards the higher mileage car, but let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

engines and trans swaps don't cost much for the parts... i'd say go with the higher mileage that has been taken care of... because who knows about the other one, it could have been driven in first and second gear all of it's life, or redlined a few times and may have other problems... the higher mileage you know has been taken care of.

i would rather get a package from someone i know versus an oily package from someone i don't... you know?
