2.8 stroker???
I ran across a 2.8 stroker GM 60 degree engine...I was wondering if it was worth it? The price runs around $1000. And I still dunno what the aftermath gains would be. But is the stroker a better one than the plain old stock 2.8?(Planning on rebuilding or just ordering this and dropping it in and rehooking everything since I don't have a heated garage and don't prefer to freeze to death when it is nice and cold.)

So just buy a 1990-1992 firebird for 400 that needs a computer? Guess that would be cheaper and less work for me!

depends..
Pull its engine, put your top on it. Find proper flywheel. If your going to do that, find a 93-96 f-body with a 3.4 and get more power and tq.
Or, register the car and drive the new car. How much body work does it need, etc.

The one I'm looking at is a 1991. It has a 3.1 liter in it..the trans am bumper is from a 85-89 ta body...and it needs repainted due to poor paint prepping..that is all the body work it needs...the paint job is only 1 yr old. The car does have some sort of computer problem though. It doesn't run right until the check engine light comes on. If you drive it right after you start it. It misses and shifts weird. But the car itself is only $400 because he got tired of messing with it and bought a new one. It does have aftermarket 20" rims but I don't think the speedo has been calibrated for them yet. But that is all I know about the car.

If it doesnt run right tell the SES light is on, odds are its a sensor rather then the ecm.
But if its got rims and new paint, its worth 400.

you might as well but it if hes giving you the rims too. You can sell 20s on ebay for as much if not more than your going to pay for this car and you can get a diagnostic scan on the car to see why the SES light is coming on for like 60 bucks. If it is a big problem or could be a bunch of things you can keep the car and try to fix the problem or just part it out. People always need parts and selling **** on here you could make 1000 or more because parts keep getting more expensive and harder to find everywhere else.
If you are going to just take the engine out though find out if the hatch motor works I've been looking for one and they arent cheap.
