I read that youre getting close to putting the 3.3 back together. I was just wondering if there are any update pics on the intake?

i have to take more pics, but it prolly wont be for another week or so,cause my gf is in the hospital right now,and has to stay there for atleast another week.
so i havent been going to work since ive been runnign back and forth, but if i do get to stop by the shop ill take a couple pics.
btw i had to lenghten the dizzy 2.5 inches for everything to fit the way i wanted it to.

btw it may be possible to use a stock gen 2 manifold with a custom upper plenum by just having the dizzy lenghtened.
making the dizzy longer is actually dam easy if u have the right tools to do it.

Check the hood and cowl clearance before you do that.

I know it would be rather tight, if not through the cowl on my truck, and I know there isn't much more space on the F-body than I have.

if i remebr right i could go upto 3 inches extended without hitting anything,if i happened to have measured wrong i can still drop a stock hieght dizzy in.i lenghthend mine just to make it look better and to be a lil easier to access it should the need arise while the motor is in the car

Nice work dave! Can't wait to see more!
.
If the stock intake can handle 900hp(as well as flow some sick numbers), what's causing you to change it?

im changing it to make it flow better and to tailor it for a forced induction motor.and to also clear the distributor

Yeah, I was exaggerating a little but I forgot you were using a different manifold...
From the FWD 60*, right?

The funny this is the gen III (top end) stock has been shown to support well over 300 HP, some dyno numbers show 350ish HP and more in torque, with forced induction.

genIII FTW!

In stok unported form, with boost I've seen low 200s from genI.

GenII are quite a bit better and have seen upwards of 275 HP or so.

GenIII so far 365 dynoed wheel HP I believe was the last reading from a guy that has a turbo 3400 in a Cavalier.

Only 200 out of a boosted gen I ?!
What kind of boost were they running?

Looks good. Just wondering how you are going to run the fuel rails. I assume custom...side to side mabye?

sorry for the crude drawing lol
but this should give u an idea
fuel rails down each side with legs connecting them to each injector
the rail will be connected by a crossover tube in the front

That idea sounds similar to the 4.6 in my F150, I actually wondered if a 4.6sbf fuel rail could be modified to work with a custom manifold.
How are you keeping the volume of the runners perfectly equal?
