1992 3.1 V6 camaro Valve covers

Where can I get a NEW set from??? My old set are all rusty from soaking in parts cleaner for a week, and the old gaskets still are attached to them. I have been unable to find new ones anywhere. Help a brother out.

The valve covers for the link you posted were for a 2.8. My motor is a 3.1. I don't believe the flange is the same size.

Try out Edelbrock. I got some for my 2.8 and I would be surprised if they did't fit a 3.1 since they are the same block.

Aslong as the pvc and breather holes are the same, a 2.8 set will work. For that much, a 3.4 set will as well, and fieros will as well. Some from a s10 may work as well.

Soaking your gaskets in parts cleaner will not remove them. They have to be scraped. Odds are, and used set you get will have to have the same thing done. Local parts yard had about 6 v6 engines, all with valve covers still on them.

I've already tried scraping them, hence why they soaked for a week. Now they are too rusted to use. I have had some people tell me that the 2.8's will work and some tell me they won't. The valve covers have to go back on before the intake plenum and egr stuff can go back on, hence why I want to get brand new 3.1 valve covers, that way I am sure they will not leak. Somebody has to still produce them, and I am shocked that nobody on here can produce a link.

I dont know anyone who produces STOCK valve covers NEW. A few places make chromes etc.

Depending on the options/year of the 2.8 depends on if they will work or not. It just depends on where the holes for the pvc, breather, and oil fill are.

i dont understand what the problem is, why cant you scrap the old gasket off?that dont make no sence,,have you tried useing a razor blade?? seing how a blade could literaly scrap thin strips of aluminum as it is so why cant you clean up your old ones, im not trying to be mean bro! ill wait for your responce befor i do that. lol!

oh fyi im shocked you dint try a search on it befor you got shocked we have not posted you a link like a drive thru mcdonalds..lol

just seems yer being a lil lazy not wanting to put a lil work into the gaskets and all. lol

Explain where they are off? Because the head castings, and intake castings for the 2.8 and 3.1 are the same. The machining is almost the same as well. Enough that I put a 2.8 lower base on my 3.1, then slapped fiero valve covers on it.

i dunno, but i swear to god i tried to put them on, ive even still got the valve covers, and ive been through 2 3.1's in the last 6 months. wont fit new engine either.

where they are off: the little screw like things that come out of your engine and the valve cover has holes for and you take a deep socket (i believe 10mm?) on your ratchet. those holes dont line up similarly
