PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Hey guys for those of you who actually clicked this link thanx for looking.

Well anyways I started my Firebird today and it stayed running for about a good 30 mins and then it shut off. I was like uh......alright.(Like everyone else would have said). i tried starting it back up and it seems like its not getting fuel into the cylinders, i had to help it start by giving it some pedal. it ran for about a minute and then died once again. I already changed the fuel filter and it ran a little better than when i got it. I think it might be that the injectors are clogged, or the fuel pump is about to go down the sh!tter. But you can here the pump before start up so I'm not quite sure.

I posted this to get a little more help cause i don't got the money to be swapping parts out that I really don't need to.

Thanx again guys

Vaccum leak or bad TPS. I had the same exact problem you had. Is the SES light comming up? If not then it is a vac leak.

The SES light blinks on and off. Sometimes it stays lite and sometimes its off.
If it changes anything its a 3.1

Well at the time i don't got a scanner but i'm looking to get one soon and hopefully it will be my best friend. The idle raises and lowers when it wants to. That also confused me.

b) use paper clip
c) use some wire

Short A-B Post

First GET the BOOK use a paper clip to short the terminals and get the code then look it up. Plus book are always usefull

Second. I had an s10 do the same thing once. I replaced the pump, it still did it. I replaced the filter twice ... that fixed it. The junk was moving down the line when it shut off. so when i replaced the filter the first time it did a helped a little but the second time i got the clog.

Hope this helps

I've never done a code shadytree mechanic style I've always had a scanner but then again i always had codes on 96 and newer cars so i had obd2 plus i wanna get a obd1 scanner it would help down the road

But I'm willing to learn what terminals to jump out i could use the money to pay off the guy i got my new motor from. A picture with the connector and point to the terminals cause I'm retarded and can't count small holes.

And now since i changed the water pump that car hasn't been doing that but the service engine soon light is on constantly now

Advanced Auto Parts read mine for free. On the terminal where the scanner would connect put a wire or paperclip into the upper right slot and the one right next to it with the key in the on position. The car will always flash code 12, don't worry about that one. Each code has 2 digits. Sequence is the first number a pause then the SES light will flash the second number. The SES light flashes each number 3 times.
