problem removing fuel rail

i cant get the fuel rail off. i have all the bolts off the rail its self and the the bolts off the fuel block. but fo some reason its its stuck the back end towards the fuel block will lift, the the end toward the fule pressure regulator wont budge. i dont have the injectors off but i was told it should lift up at least a 1/2 inch with them pluged in, but i wont lift at all. am i missing something here.

also all the bolts on the lower intake are off and the lower intake is free from the block, but i cant remove it till the fuel rail is off.

you're gonna have to pry it off.the o-rings are most likely what's keeping it all snug & what not

PULL HARD! lol. Since the injectors are in a V shape, it is sometimes a bear to get out. You will probably need new o-rings after your done too as you'll probably rip the stock ones. Use a non-corrosive lubricant to make assembly easier.

Use a pry bar or long screw driver and slowly and carefully pry up to lift the fuel rail and injectors out. I had to do that both times I removed the fuel rail on my car. The injector o rings get stuck to the intake.

yeah all the fuel lines are off and it will go up about an 1/2 inch but then just stops, but i didnt want to pull hard and break something, but ill give it a good yank.
but does the fuel block doesnt need to be removed? it dont seem as if it is connected to anything under the fuel rail.

It does NOT have to be removed to get the middle intake manifold (MIM) out. I leave the fuel lines attached and just lift the rail out of the way and tilt the MIM as I pull it out from under the rail. Also if you rock the rail left to right (looking from front of car) as you lift up, might make it easier.

i tried that first, but with the fuel lines is it wont budge at all. not they there are off it has a bit off movement, but not much. and i didnt want to just go pulling it out to hard. but i guess thats what i got to do now.
so if i pull it hard enough straight up the whole thing will come ou with the injectors attached right?

i just tryed to pry it up with a long screw driver, i put it under the middle of the fuel rail and pryed against the lower manifold and i put some elbow grease into and it started to move, then i heard something crunching and i didnt know if it was a injector, or what. but i stoped. i have every thing off of the fuel rail its self so i dont know what could be holding it down.

FINALLY!!! i got a crow bar and wrapped a cloth around it and slowly and gently pryed it un then the fule injectsr broke free and it came right out. and the crunching i was hearing was all the little plastic air hose things that go from the back of the throttle body to the fuel presure regulator, they just got brittle and snappped.

what are those little air hoses called, im gonna have to go down to napa and buy some now.

they are hard vacuum lines. I can't seem to find them new. If they aren't broken too bad, you can use heat shrink to stick them back together. Are the injector o-rings destroyed too?
