HAHA, those are some heads I got for free. The aluminum heads are from a FWD. I will have to chage pistons, unless I want a 11.78:1 compression. These are for the next motor...

Re: Finally got the entire 3400 upper

Well it's been a while, but I think I found a 3.4 to help with the DIS situation (couple of cubes to boot, too ).

Weighed the iron upper for someone here and it came in at a whopping 81lbs whereas the aluminum weighs 45lbs. Actual installed will vary slightly since the aluminum upper had the fuel rail included and the iron upper had the plenum included.

You'll be happier with the 3.4. Get it.

Re: Finally got the entire 3400 upper

New update...
Well, I scored a 3500 upper for a good price (figures just after I bought an upper plenum/manifold for the 3400 upper end.

I guess these could be for sale, since the 3500 heads will fit on a 3.4. If anyone is interested, I also have the FWD deep pistons to go with it. I would rather not part it out, but sell it as a kit.

15-30hp gain by changing the heads . Look at the difference in the valve angle and the size of the ports.

Not unless you bore .080" over. 3400 heads are the biggest you can go.

Yes, but I went with a 3500/3.4 combination instead...
