V6 Carb won't start at all.

It was working great for quite a while. Feed her some gas while cranking and she would start up. Let her idle a bit and away I go. Now it won't start at all. Won't start regardless of how much gas I give her while cranking.

The distributer cap and rotor were replaced so I know it's not that. Could it be battery? Plugs? Lack of fuel pressure? I can smell teh gas when I open the hood. Pretty sure I flooded the poor thing trying to get it to start.

My poor chicken

Re: V6 Carb won't start at all.

first step is clean plugs.

After that, you can crank the engine over just a bit and then look at the top of the carb while holding the choke plate open. Pump the throttle by hand and look for fuel. Is fuel spraying out while you pump the throttle?

If no, look at your fuel filter and then your fuel pump.

If yes, start looking at ignition. How is your coil? Have you checked for spark at the plugs?
