Help with my head bolts

ok i have a an 88 2.8l gm iron headed short block and i'm bolting up the heads except one of them is different and i dont where it goes. The manual is not clear about it either. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

It's the one on the bottom.

You know this makes me worry now. I have a bolt like the one on the bottom left over from when I pulled my head off but my car is running perfectly...

i can't think of where it came from or where it would go.

Is that thread tape? There is only 8 bolts that hold the heads on, but that looks like it might go into a water/oil jacket (like a water pump bolt).

Now that I think about it I think that might be some sort of AC bolt that goes into the head, see if that will thread into the head for the AC bracket. I know that the bolts that hold the AC bracket on are kind of long.

Yep, I think you are right. It's the top bolt on the A/C bracket and the extra threads on the top of the head hold the little belt cover (on the top of the A/C clutch). And yes it does protrude into a water jacket IIRC.
