How To: taking out/apart heads and reinstall
does anyone have one they can type up? or have a link? i tried searching but got tired after the first 15 pages of looking lol.
I have a v6, but it can be a general one. this engine has 170k on it and i would like to take off the heads, port/polish them, and check them out. i know its old and it's a 2.8, and i should get 3.4 heads... that is the plan, eventually. money is a little tight right now, but i think i bent a valve a few months back, since the engine clatters (i have adjusted the rocker arms so many times) so i would just like to know what i can do, what i should look out for, etc etc. head gaskets are ~70 for felpro, and i have pulled the intake before too, that's a cinch. i got that down to 20 mins to get the upper intake off, and it takes a while to pry the lower off lol.
