Did I waste my time or do something useful?
So today I really wanted to work on my car, but I wanted to save the cash I had for gas. So I wanted to do something free. I have already drilled my air box and did the TB bypass. So I ended up zip tying the ends of my vacuum lines tightly so as maybe to stop any air from bypassing. This took all of 10 minutes. I wanted to do something else, so I disconnected my battery and every single ground and electrical connection I could see under the hood (except for like 3 relays that just looked to hard to mess with) - about 20 in all. I cleaned the corrosion off the grounds and where they bolted to the frame, covered them in dielectric grease and replaced them. I did the same with all other electrical connections. I felt good about it but I didn't notice any difference in running or driving. But what did I expect? I had it running fine any way! LOL

I think anytime you don't neglect your car is a good thing. Specially keeping up with those vacuum lines... I've never thought of zip-ties, thats a very good idea!

did you clean up the connection on the radiator support by the battery? That went bad on my 85 and caused all kinds of headaches

3rd gen vacuum lines = biggest PITA EVER. They're all brittle, there's hundreds, and no matter what, they break. When I changed my coil I broke 5. Put in the soft, silicone ones, now, no problems.

I got the ones from autozone that say goodyear on them. Not sure if they are silicone, but they work great.
