2.8 rebuild or replace?
Okay so I was told that I threw some bearings in my 2.8 thats in my firebird now. I managed to find another running 2.8 for 30 bucks. Would it be easier to replace the whole engine, or just take the internals I need out of the $30 2.8 and just put them in the 2.8 thats in the car now? Thanks for any help.

What kind of conditiion is the running motor in? I would go and replace all of the major gaskets on it and some other items.

well to be honest it sounds like somebody threw a wrench in there and started the car up. The top half was rebuilt not too long ago, it did have an oil leak and a coolant leak coming from the crankshaft i believe. Other than that, it was perfect
