odometer stopped working
I reset my trip meter today, went I know 40 miles up the road and looked down. It was all 0's. I looked at the odometer after several miles and it has stopped working as well. I haven't checked the fuses yet, going to do that now. If thats not it what could be my problem?

Re: odometer stopped working
Well I got it all apart. To find that in a 91 bird, the gage cluster, although it appears to be traditional analog gages, is in fact digital. I began to pull it toward me slowly and started feeling for wires. None. When I prized it out I found two terminal block connectors and a paper thin circuit board on the back of the unit. kinda cool I guess, but the instructions in the last post don't apply entirely. I'm sure I can fix it with the wire trick, but how to do I get at the thing? There isn't a way to access it from the back even if I remove the circuit board. I took the clear barrier off, but it didn't appear that the speedo would just pop out easily, or was I just to chicken? I don't mind tearing into something, but since this is my daily driver I tend to be more cautious. Sorry I don't have pics, no digital camera yet. Guess I need to stop buying car accessories for a while and get one.
