V6 Powah

Hey guys, i just finished building my motor, bout ready to drop it in,
any ideas on hp/tq numbers for me.
3.4L Longblock .40 over
3 angle valve job, port polish
Forged crank
cam-Phase 2
16-18 204 214 270 280 .420 .443 107 117
Best power band from 1500 to 4000 rpm. Excellent low to mid-range torque from 1500 to 3500 rpm. No pc mod's
19lb Injectors - ??? will this be to much, did some reading these sounded appropriate
2.8L mpfi intake manifold
performance 700r4 trans w/ 3500 stall
3:73 gears posi rear
MSD Ignition

Think I can pull around 200hp, I know the stock 3.4 is bout 160
Looking for mid/low 15's possible??? car weighs 3000lbs
stock v6, no options, fiberglass hood, rear seat delete, center console delete(custom),
Ideas???

Cheers

3400 or 3500 heads and stock cr 3.4 pistons will give you so much more and so would a different intake.

Re: V6 Powah

thats sounds like pretty much the same motor I had with a 5-speed, except for the 19lb injectors (I had stock) and didn't have msd. Mine only ran a best of 15.8 with 3.42 gears. low 15's is probably asking to much with the cast iron heads.

Re: V6 Powah

With all that changed. You really need to change that prom chip.

Also, you can gut a few more things from the car, or swap a few more for lighter.

I had similar with more weight mods done and it was quite zippy. But I never took it to the track or dyno.

Re: V6 Powah

You'll probably fall a little short. ~180hp maybe. Look at my vb garage for a list of what I stripped out to get to 3000lbs. 2nd the ecm reprogram.

Those are 3.4 iron heads. 3400 heads come with a multi angle valve job and are aluminum.

Re: V6 Powah

You can get a willems programmer for $40, a moates aldl cable for $80, eeprom for $5 and a wb O2 for $200-300 if you choose to go that far. Kind of impossible to tune without one though.

Got it. I started at it about 7 months ago. I still have hair, but more of it is gray now I think it would have been easier had I started on a somewhat stock setup.
