lol thats not a secret atleast not to a bunch of us that have been aropund a while.u were saying u were going twins.

nice placement of the turbos

i toyed with the idea of going back to a twin setup after i sold off the first set of headers, but the stianless to build another set was way to exspensive, just cheaper to stick with my single

are u swaping out those .63's for .48's?

Nope, I'm going to need top end more than torque. The 3.4/3500 4th gen is pulling like a freight train to 3k RPM's with 11.56:1, but I told Chris he needed more cam to run on pump gas. Cranking pressure is up around 265psi hehe.

The turbos are an added bonus at this point, I don't expect the block to last long abouve 400hp. Locally a guy has broken the valley at 340whp in a Midget race car - 3.4/3400 with 14:1scr, N/A.

What power steering?

I'm using an S10 manual steering box, and if I can fit it later, I'll use the Siginaw2 pump w/remote res on the front of the pass side head.

2 things to look at is knock sensor placement one is very close to the starter and the other is close to the motor mount, I notch my motor mount. The other is since I have had mine running it seems to want to run warm, thinking of running a cross over at the rear for the water and restricting the water at the front.

and how do u figure u dont max out 42 pound injectors with an 11.5 afr and not make the power
same goes for maxing out the given airflow for a compressor wheel

ur not only gonna make 300 hp whith that much fuel witht he right afr nore are u only making 300 hp flowing over 40#'s a min of air

my turbo was heating up the air so bad above 9 psi i had to swap it out for a unit with a 61mm compressor

Something just isn't adding up. A stock TPI LB9 that's ~what~ 16yrs old, runs a mid-high 13 with an inexperienced driver. He's local to me and we have gone to the track on multiple occasions. So you are telling me that your car with a modified chassis and lightened is only slightly faster and making well over 100 more horses (closer to double)? He has no slicks, steep gears, or stall for that time.

Re: The secret is out, tim to share w/you guys.

lol my car is not lightened its actually heaveier then stock,
chassi is also stock no subframe connectors no bracing with the exception of a wonder bar
hmm i have a converter and steep gears, my car would actually go faster with less gear

and that converter is to lose im blowing right threw that thing its going right to 6K + soon as i come out of the hole

and 13.00 is not all the car has in it i can turn the boost back down to 9psi put everything back to that 13.00 run and go 12.5

Sorry, I meant L98 350TPI. Mid-high 13's right in front of me in line at the track. Oh I guess it wans't bone stock, had and air foil divider, CAI and the street tires were almost bald. I was there the first time he was in the 13's, and he's since added headers and bought a nitrous kit the last I talked to him. I'm just saying that a veavier car (V8) no suspension mods and a couple bolt ons are in fact that fast with ~250hp.

Street Lethal? I was posting it on a couple obscure forums and then it got leaked to the Fiero Forum by Babyvet and I knew the 60 degree crowd would soon know lol.

Dale, my neighbor did a good job on mine. Is yours chrome now and just want to rebuild it or are you looking to make it chrome?

I have a spare one that needs rebuilt. I planned to polish the case, and put a chrome fin on it. The fin now is bent and rusted.

Still have to figure out the WG mounting. The turbo bracket is temporary for welding it up after I get the other side situated. Sure wish I had more time for my own build hehe.

Re: The secret is out, tim to share w/you guys.

pull off the collector and weld 3 90s facing foward, then u can slip the collector back on and use a 90 upward bend so there is room after the collector for the wastegate to pick up the gas from all 3 cyls

u may have to cut down the hight of the 3 primarys first so the turbo dosent sit to high

There's room for me to drill a 1 5/8's hole in the side of the collector and have the pipe going straight back at the firewall. The downpipe is going to go between the #4 and #6 primaries, that's why they are so spaced apart. This time I'm also going to recurculate the spent WG gasses back into the downpipe, fitting the external WG itself in the driver's side is what I was talking about. Even though the 60* is a narrow-angle engine, theres still very littlew room between the valve cover and brake master cyl.

The turbo is as high as it can go now and leave a little breathing room between it and the hood. It is going to move about 1/2" forward to center the flange on the collector, but otherwise is in it's final resting place.

ahh id didnt look liek u had room to drill the hole for the wastegate the way it sits.

yeah im wishing i had recirculated mine, everytime i get on it and the gates open u can smell the ex inside the car, that and if they were recirculated u would have no idea the car was turbocharged except for hearing the bov
