3.4/3400

Hey everyone, I am about to start building my 3.4/3400, its going to be a genIII top end, gasket match port from the heads to the UIM, unsure of the cam but something pretty aggressive, full roller rockers probably 1.6's. I'm either going to use the FWD computer and go with a custom chip or go EBL. Unsure if I'm going to stick with the 700-R4 or go T-5. Probably going to ditch the 3.42's for 3.73's. I'm looking for 220-240hp N/A. This is not going to be a DD, just a fun project to see what these 60*'s are capable of. Maybe when its all said and done I will throw a t3/t4 on there with 7-9 psi. My main question is, I know a few of you have done a 3.4/3400, but do any of you have any in car vids of how they run/perform in a 3rd gen f-body? Very curious. Any input/suggestions for my setup would be appreciated to. Thanks. James

I'm not certain if a hybrid 3rd gen has been built (or atleast run) yet. You might check out the boards at 60degreev6.com. There's a number of 4th gens that have had it done.

Re: 3.4/3400

I forget which member I saw post it but some had hybrid (unsure of the bottom end) with a 3400 top end in the car, just never knew if he finished it. I will go check 60degree out.

If you get a chance I would love to see how it runs, especially since its the superior 3500 top end.

Re: 3.4/3400

John, I know you are on alot of other boards, do you know of anyone who has a 3.4/3400 hybrid? Maybe not in a 3rd gen but just to see one run or drive would be sweet. James
