question about engine stalling out....
so my brother just replaced his ignition module, distributor rotor button, and distributor cap. Brand new spark plugs(gapped perfectly), new spark plug wires and a brand spankin' new battery. Before the car wouldnt start for nothing, now after all that stuff-it fired up and drives great. Well, not so great now. While he was driving to work today(about 1 1/2 miles from the house..) is stalled twice on em. the car runs good but was idling funny. we took the IAC out, cleaned it off and removed the top plate thing on the top of his throttle body and cleaned all the gunk and junk off of the channels at the front of the TB. Started it back up.....and the car runs for about 5 mins at a time and stumbles on its face and stalls out. He told me he used the Lucas fuel system cleaner after putting in a full tank. We dont know when the pump, strainer or fuel filter was last changed and was thinking that maybe the fuel system was to dirty and by using the lucas it just clogged up his fuel lines. sound right or are we way off? what other problems could it be?? thanx to all with any feedback

if I remember correctly you unplug the battery, then put the cable back on, start up the car, and let it sit in neutral or park for a little bit. until the cooling fan turns on.
