got rained out at the track,but hers a few SHORT clips if messing around on the street the only decent pull was the 4-5 sec wot run from 40-45mph every thing else resulted in wheel hop and or tire spin

^ All things running smooth, and with boost upped closer to 14-psi, and that thing will break 12's with the current turbo charger that's already in there. First time I seen the turbo setup in person fella's, and lemme tell ya, impressed would be an absolute understatement. It came out freaking awesome, and the engine pulls very hard with moderate boost....

Lemme take pics of the exhaust for you ahead of time, this way you know what your dealing with. The '98's are different from the newer models, as only one cat is next to the engine (drivers side), the other is in the same location as the 3rd gen's. Also, the tubing is very different, so it'll give you an idea ahead of time how we're gonna do this....

I know, Mike's cat's were parallel with the side of the engine, facing downward. My drivers side is like that (I already hit it with WD-40), but the other one will be a breeze though....

I've had my share of clogged converter's in the past, but this is just ridiculous. They are bad, really bad bro, they need to be tossed asap. A fresh set of high flow converters will eventually be going in along w/the new headers and exhaust (whenever I decide on which ones lol), but for now, I need to be able to drive the damn car, let alone start it lol....

Would have to get a catted Y-Pipe from Kooks then, cuz the factory Y-Pipe is out of the question. If I took a picture of it you would be in absolute shock of what GM considered to be high performance back in '98 lol....

They're rebuildable, just have to extract some broke exhaust bolts, lol.

I also have the heads from the 3.1 with 89k miles on them...

 

oh lol i just need some cores to build that set of headers,i had a set of damaged heads(needed valve guides) but like an idiot i scraped them.

 

Youl'd probably be better off going to a scrap yard, shipping won't be cheap.

I weighed the iron top end and it was 85lbs, the 3x00 top end weighs 35lbs, lol.

I can weigh them right now while I'm still here at the shop if you want. You can have them for $10 plus shipping, haha.

alright im just finishing up putting the camaro back together,no slicks tongiht need to do some body work(BFH) to get them to fit,****erds are rubbing the bump stops.so a lil persuasion with the 20# hammer will move them in but i just got done removing the old slicks with a slide hammer so i sure as hell dont feel like swinging around a 20# hammer now.lmao we really need a tire machine here
