Porting heads
Would it be worth it to go to a yard and pull some good heads off a 3.1 and port them, and then install them on my car?What kind of power would I pick up ,if any?Thanks for everyones opinion.

I got 2 sets of heads I'm willing to part with if you cant find any. You could have 1 set to practice on and another to do some final work after you have it down.

i have access to heads and have some experience with porting.....BUT would it be worth it? is it worth the time for the amount of power i might get?that is the question.to port orrrr not to port?

Axle/Gears: strange s60 /w 3:42's

depends on other mods but u can get 200fwhp out of it if all the parts are correct for the combo
main areas to do is clean up the casting flaws.
pay lots of attention in the bowl areas and under the valkve seat/short side radius
the vanes in the port entry u want to keep put knife down and leave a lil spread on the angle
and the upper valve guide can be knifed down a good bit
on the ex side u can do work wound the guides and looking in from were the manifolds bolt on u will see were the casting protudes into the port u can elimiate the part that protrudes in, and then poilis off the ex port runners to a mirror shine

right now its ALL stock. getting ready to do a brand new cat and slightly used cat back system.then im gonna work on fabbing up a cold air intake.heads i can get and work on when i have a little extra time.what cam do you think would be best if heads have been ported?

260 grind cam from delta hands down the best all around cam for the camaro motors

im out in central jersey,not to far from atco.i should be running out there a few times this year.few of my friends may be heading out this weekend if they are open.
a reground cam from delta was 50 bucks and 50 bucks for new lifters, that wa sover a year ago so not sure if the price has changed.
price on a full custom grind was 100-125 bucks iirc
