how could i put a remote start on a 89 camaro rs 2.8

when i crank it up i have to push the gas a lil bit then i have 2 drive wit one foot on gas and one on tha break i figure i wont be able 2 start it remotely till i fix that please help

yea thats a good idea while your down there....maybe coil as well if it looks orginal. Radiator flush and oil change wudnt hurt. Sounds like a half/full days of work

Id check all your vac tubes as well and your injector and fuel filter.

You shouldn't have to touch the throttle on startup on a fuel injected car, so keep that in mind. About what RPMs do you have to keep it at so it won't die? A good tuneup is a good start though.

yea I have 2 hold the gas till it reaches operating temps and it will idle nicely

maybe retime it. that has a lot to do with idle.

Might also want to change out the fuel filter and make sure your O2 sensor is functioning properly. Seafoam works will in the fuel line and crank as well.
