ok i got this camaro and changed the fuel pump it cranked up just fine like 3 times although it sounded like it was bogged down when i hit the gas but it cranked fast and ran pretty smooth.i didnt let it run but a minute r so each time cause i didnt have the top radiator hose on and the gas in the tank was very old. well after that i put a new hose on and changed gas and now it wont run unless i spray starting fluid in the intake and every so often it will fire off after sitting for a while. i just dont know what to do to it and i dont understand why it cranked up fine the first couple times after changing the pump but not now. it is firing and it spews gas out of the pressure relief valve when i mash it down. i smelled the exaust pipe and it smells like raw gas it also has a code 43 and i dont know if it had before i started working on it cause it has been sitting up for years a guy gave it to just to get it out of his yard

 

you can replace the schrader valve on the fuel rail fairly easy and quickly. its a test port. should be a cap on it also.

 

u talkin bout the relief valve? and would the VATS let it fire on starting fluid and just disable the injectors?

 

if its a vats problem then you need to fix that. need to get a noid light and see if the injectors are getting a pulse when turning over. if they are not then its definatly a vats problem. search for vats there are quite a few workarounds for it or disableing it.

 

i know about the resistor trick but i dont have any 9.5 resistors i got all kinds of other ones tho but all that will work is between 9.1-9.9 is there another way to bypass the vats or enable the injectors and plus im not even sure if it is the vats to begin with its just strange that it cranked up 3 times after i changed the pump but now it wont but im hoping it is the vats and not the computer r the injectors

 

in need to know if there is away to test the injectors without a noid light cause i have no way of getting one and also if there is a way to disable the VATS as i dont have the right resistors and no way of getting them
