getting a code 45 for rich o2.

have new injectors to install tomarrow.. been raining here to much in the last week.

gonna check the fpr also and have a new o2 to install.

any thing else i should check ?

Do you ever 'top off' the tank? Fuel will back up into the evap canister.

installed the new injectors. no leaks runs great. exhaust don't smell rich any more.

i think i need to check out the cat though. got a replacement just need to install.

just got back from getting my cat out of my storage shed.. low and behold on the way 30 mile trip btw... the code 45 came back after 15 miles of driving.

cat changing on thursday.. along with o2.. i hope that fixes it.

What else is going on? Throwing parts at it isn't the way to fix it. Do you have a fuel pressure guage?

fixed it. timing was off 2 degrees.

it came back on after a 60 mile trip. only throws a code above 75-85 mph.

Whoa hold on a minute, this is what the injectors you're using look like? Wish I would've taken a look at these at the start, they're not correct. These are intended for later motors and won't run correctly. Get a refund and make sure they know to change their application info on their website to specify 3100.

i callled the guy and asked first before i even ordered them. car runs good other than i can't get the code 45 to go away. and i had it before i even did the injector swap.
are the injectors to big then?

No, they're just the wrong design if those are the injectors you're using. Different resistance & not compatible with early stuff. You had it before the swap though? What was your fuel psi?

I recently got code 45,
but you where saying if you top off you
gas tank gas can get into the evap canister ?
this can cause code 45?

cause i normally top off my tank,
