Trans question
Hi all
I have a question about my transmission (700R4?). When I'm cruising on the highway about 60 or so mph, and I go to gently accelerate, the RPM's rise a little for a short while (half a sec) and then settle down again. Almost as if there is a short slip.
Is this normal operation or a sign of excessive wear?
Many thanks
Matthew

Re: Trans question
Does this happen only if you let off a lil then get back on it?
Sounds like its just your converter unlocking then locking. This is normal.

Re: Trans question
Yeah pretty much. Thanks for clearing that one up. Always paranoid about trans problems...
To save starting another thread I have an exhaust question. Forgive my ignorance but why is my V6 so damn loud? I'm sure when I saw it around before I bought it, it was much quiter. There is some slight corrosion coming through on the welded seam on the rear silencer. Could it have collapsed internally?
Cheers, Matthew

Re: Trans question
I took a look... looks like my muffler has rotted from the inside. Got a replacement on the way
