Damn this really sucks....especially since my car sits a little higher on the front then a STOCK firebird, since my springs are retarded...

Well I searched and found this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/v6/5...g-springs.html

not much in it though

you can cut your springs. or, you can get springs from "circle track" racing suppliers. you have to know the specs that you want, though (spring diameter, height, rate). There is no "firebird springs" or anything like that if you go this route. It'll be a lot cheaper, too.

Dropzone makes these. Do a search on dropzone, Ive posted a few different times about them. I guess you can't find them online anymore, have to call them. Google them and you should be able to find the number. Too bad their prices have gone up so much, i got mine for $105 or so, gotta love inflation, lol.

Cut your stockers, not with a torch however or you'll de-temper them.

Maybe I havent ridden in an F-body with cut springs, but ive been in a few different cars with cut springs and the ride is absolute crap. People riding in those cars are a chiropractors dream. And most of these were only like 1/2 to 3/4 coil cut off. the ride gets unbelievably hard. lowering springs are a progressive rate spring so you dont have the rigidity like you do from cutting a spring. Just my input on that subject.

You haven't ridden in a car with cut springs, that were cut CORRECTLY then.

If you cut springs without adding excessive amounts of heat into a spring, the increased spring is very minimal & not noticeable.

I've cut them on my daily drivers, my wife's daily driver & pure autocross cars. Nobody ever complained because I do them CORRECTLY. Anyone can, with a little extra effort.

or if you want to keep a smooth ride up front and not royally screwing over your suspension geometry (hurting handling ability), get drop spindles.

My f-bodies aren't my daily drivers so ride quality takes a back seat to handling and performance.
