Hopefully 18 isn't too much then. I have a 3.4 and needed 17lb. It's annoying that these ford injectors only come in 15lb and 19lb.

Drugstore naturally only had 3cc syringes.
The only way to know for sure is to try them. It might not matter as much with a 3.4.

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

Well the 3100 injectors I pulled had a 17% loss in flow. Even more at full blast I think. Guy said it would be pointless to install them. Had them tested at a place that does it for free.

I guess I'll pull the accels that are in there and have them tested too. The guy said the style I have should be pretty good. There's an older style apparently that are junk.

Hopefully I'll get them out (got the car moved over to my place today) tomorrow, wed, or thursday, and take a few hours off friday to get them tested.

What's up entrig ? I do remember this thread and I haven't got around to checking and cleaning mine . I had other more important things come about . What would you want for those injectors ? I might give them a try . I don't know if my injectors , TPS , MAF , or ignition module is my problem though . Get back to me and I will respond Tomorrow . Later man .

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

Those will work but be sure to get new o-rings for your car as the o-rings for those injectors will not seal to your intake or fuel rail properly .

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

I bought a set from fuel injection connection- Bosch llls. The thing fired up straight away, but idled at 5000 RPMs(!) until I couldn't stand it any longer- and I took it out for a spin. Seems to run great now, although I am seeing a little hesitation when it is cold. FIC told me that our old style injectors have wet solenoids that breakdown with the new gas additives we use today, particularly here in CA I imagine, but the Bosch ones use a dry solenoid that is not accessible to the fuel itself and should therefor not break down as easy. I think I got all that correct...

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

need some help with my 89 bird with the 2.8.. it wants to run hot after say 15 minutes of driving. especially going up hills. ive replaced the radiator, water pump, hoses, fan and thermostat. the fan wouldnt come on so had to wire it to a switch. turn it on when i first start the car and has to run till i turn it off. any ideas what else it could be? runs normal temps in the winter, but when its hot kinda sketchy to drive to far

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

Do you lose any coolant ? If so you may have a cracked head or blown head gasket letting exhaust gases into your coolant and causing the overheating even if you don't lose coolant . With all you have replaced I would almost bet on exhaust gases getting into your coolant .

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

This forum might help me, i purchased a 92 3.1 rs.. car is flawless inside, I'm the 2nd owner, car has 95k on it, the original owner had it in the garage and drove from time to time.. cold start, she cranks right up, after about 30 min of driving, rpms bounce, wen I floor it it bogs down bad, then after driving around town for a bit, I turn it off and rey crank it, takes about 4 times to start. .. would the fuel Injectors be the cause? I plan to put a new fuel tank, filter and pump.. but the fuel Injectors are the originals and I would think be t he cheapest to fix.. that fuel tank drop for a 1st time 3rd gen guy seems like a headache .. please help what the bogging down is caused bu

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

So I installed the injectors from the ford 2.9(refurbished per the website). I feel that they are significantly louder. The tic they make. It only make the noise under load though. It makes me feel like lifters or something. Any experience with these to confirm my thought or do you think the noise is unrelated to the injectors?

Yeah I'm sure! So they do click?
I'm going to invest in a stethoscope, and narrow it down.

Re: Recommended injectors for V6

are they the bosch lll's?
Unfortunately it can be annoying however it doesn't affect the performance of the injectors in any way.
