The last of my V6 stuff.
I came across a few more V6 parts cleaning out the garage this weekend.
Normally I'd just list this stuff in the classifieds, but since there isn't much in the classifieds for the V6 cars, and it'll probably get pushed to page three in a quick hurry, I figure I should mention it here. If the mods want to move it they can. I don't want this stuff laying around forever, and maybe someone else can use it.
First I've got a mechanical fuel pump off my 84 Camaro. The one on it was leaking, so I ordered this one from the local parts store. 3 days and $45 later I had a new fuel pump. It was only on the car a short time before I blew the 2.8. As can be seen in the pic, it's still virtually new. I'm thinking $35 shipped.

I've also got a 2.8 fuel rail. There's no fuel pressure regulator, it's a left over from when I was making the stock regulators adjustable. All the threads look clean to me, and it's never been apart. It'll clean up ok, it's just a bit dirty from sitting in the bottom of a box. I'm thinking it's probably off a Fiero or a FWD 2.8. I think it's identical to a 3.1 fuel rail, except it has a provision for the cold start injector. I hear the CSI port is in a different spot then the Fbody 2.8 fuel rails. I'll do the same deal on that one, $35 shipped.

If you want references, I've got positive feedback all over the place, tallying about 350 transactions in the last 15 years. I accept Paypal or US postal money orders.

I'd call dibs on that fuel rail if you could find the matching cold start injector. Where is the CSI on the Fiero engine? Or is the rail itself backwards?

I haven't got the CSI, or any other parts from the car that donated it's fuel rail. At the time I was making stock fuel pressure regulator caps adjustable, and the kid was supposed to give me his core and he never did. I'm sure the rest of the car that donated the fuel rail has been crushed by now, and probably recycled.
To the best of my knowledge, the Fiero intake from the plenum down is exactly the same as the Fbody setup. The plenum is backwards, placing the throttle body over the bellhousing, but otherwise it's the same.
I'd probably cap the CSI if it were me. I've even got a CSI port cap laying here. Otherwise it might come in handy for a fuel supply to a nitrous system or a fuel pressure gauge port. There are options.
I also came across a set of 12pt chrome Fiero plenum bolts. All 10 plus two shorter ones that anchor the throttle cable bracket and emissions hoses on the Fiero plenum. I'm not sure what they're worth, I'd have to look it up if anyone's interested in them.

Thing is, I'm looking for a 2.8 fuel rail with the CSI so I can use the CSI (before the harness swap and hybrid and if something goes wrong with the 730 system AGAIN). And, of course, I recycled my stock fuel rail because I needed the cash...

LOL I'm pretty sure that's where this one is headed too.
I understand the Fbody 2.8 fuel rail has the CSI port in a different location. A qualified machinist could probably machine the CSI port provisions in a different spot, and the existing port could be plugged, but that's probably more work and expense then anyone will want to invest.

Here are those 12 point Fiero plenum bolts. They're chrome, in nice original condition. The Fiero Store gets $15 for reproductions with the wrong headstamp. I'd like to get $25 shipped out of them.

shoot, just remembered that two of the bolts are studs that allow for the mounting of the AC... I guess I'll pass

That bracket was missing on my 3.1 when I got it. LOL I drove it with the A/C blasting all summer long for 4 years without the bracket bolted up.

Re: The last of my V6 stuff.
that would certainly clean up the engine bay... it's so ugly
I've spent so much money on my car in the last couple of months I think I wife is going to shoot me if I don't slow down... but seeing those cook chrome bolts brings a smile to my face

Re: The last of my V6 stuff.
At one time I had the makings of a nifty V6. I ended up selling the bulk of the engine on the Fiero forum. I had to crush two freshly bored/honed 3.1 blocks. The Fiero valve covers got sold on Ebay. Somehow I forgot about these bolts. I just came across them tonight when I was digging for the CSI cap. I'll never use them. They really set off a painted plenum. Between the chrome 12pt bolts, painted plenum, and aluminum valve covers, the Fiero engine compartment is flashy compared to the Fbody version.

I could... but I love those 12 sided chrome bolts... that's so cool
yes, the valve covers are polished steel and then clear coated
I'm buying a car cover that fell into my lap tonight, and after that I'm need to cool the spending for a bit... my wife is starting to get that "look"
and it's not a good look... you KWIM

Re: The last of my V6 stuff.
I know how that goes... I just sold a bunch of odds and ends, then spent $300 on gears and parts to rebuild the rear end in my Mustang. The order hadn't even been received and I bought a set of roller rockers to add to the pile of parts I'm planning to install in my Formula. It never really gets better. Fortunately, when I make money by selling car parts, I don't feel bad about spending that money on car parts.
In other words, someone buys injectors, or bolts, or wheels, or a transmission mount, and I spend that money on more car parts. The trick is resisting the urge to dispose of something when someone MIGHT need it someday. Some of the stuff I list for sale sits around for years and gets listed several times before it sells. Sad to say it, but Mustang parts are MUCH easier to sell.
