Fuel pressure connection leaking

I am having a problem with my Fuel pressure connection leaking on a 1991 3.1l (I call it the schrader valve but I was going by what the service manual calls it). When the fuel pump brings system up to pressure around 46psi the fuel comes out of it in a fairly big stream it doesn't shoot out at pressure just trickles out. If i were to find a cap for it would that stop the leak or do i have to replace the whole valve or does that mean i have to replace the whole fuel rail?

any suggestions would be great thanks

Re: Fuel pressure connection leaking

So the valve is stuck open a bit? If you have one available i'd try attaching a fuel pressure gauge onto the valve and see if that stops it from leaking.

Re: Fuel pressure connection leaking

should be able to go to napa and get a replacement for it. not sure if it would be fuel rated. i did that a while back and have not looked back. valve core is what its called. need a special tool to remove it. costs a couple of bux. just take it in to a parts store they should be able to find something for ya.
