Cruise control delete question
Cruise control delete question
I got an 86 2.8L firebird and I seem to have a vacuum leak which I think is causing me all kinds of problems. I think the leak is somewhere near the cruise control (it never worked and never used it). I searched about deleting the cruise control and was just wondering if I can plug the end of the tee in back of the plenum that doesn't go to the brakes, engine bay aesthetics is not a concern of mine so I don't need to pull everything. Will this get rid of all the vacuum going to the CC or would I get rid of something else important?

Re: Cruise control delete question
Not if you want to retain cabin ventilation control, you can't block off the tee altogether. You can connect the HVAC inlet directly to the tee and remove the rest of the line, however.
