timing problem

91 camaro rs v6
i bought this car. had to fix the wires all crossed up and didnt fire. the distributor was 180 out. fixed that then car ran and sounded just fine. then fixed my oil pump then start it back up. timings off again. fix it again which was weird cause it went back on the same way it came off and ran and sounded just fine. then just did my exhaust. and car is out of time again. im not even touchin anything that has to do with it but it seems like the timing is changin everyday and car has to be retiming all together. it starts and dies at idle now but will hold when on the gas. but struggles at idle. sounsd like missing on one maybe 2. could it be something else?? why do i have to keep setting the car to tdc and do that every other day?

timing chain... take the dist cap off and turn the crank pully. if the rotor doesnt spin as soon as the crank is turned then you have a loose chain and is in need or replacing.
