Ok with the fuel injectors...Ive heard you can do all the mods you want but without getting bigger (better flowing) fuel injectors it is a major restriction. So can someone clear this up for me? And if I do alot of mods on my 6 would I need to get better flowing injectors?

I'm not sure how much BIGGER they are, but Summit sells ADS "high-flow" injectors for $300 for 2.8s.

I think it's not the flow of our injectors that would hold us back, but the idea that our injectors are gummed up from years of use. There's a few places out there that you mail your injectors to; they clean them on a special machine and send them back. Of course, you're without a car for a few weeks, unless you send them a set of junkyard injectors.

Hey! Wait, there was someone here that did that!! Was it Reno?

Well, it couldn't hurt!! My car has had injector cleaner running through it every 5k miles its whole life, so I think mine are ok....

But, I think it would be a good idea to have them cleaned and flow matched. If you got the extra time and $$, I would say go for it.

Honestly, I have no idea how much it costs. Like I said, new ADS injectors are like $300, and supposedly are a decent step up from stock, especially if your old ones are in rough shape.

I know with TPI injectors, the flow rate can very drastically due to manufacturing tolerances. Flow-matching will allow each injector to flow at its peak...

Look in Summit for the ADS injectors for 2.8s...or I can find out some more info on them for ya.

2.8L injectors? I think you're missing my question. If my car has the 2.8L injectors then I want like 3.1L or 3.4L ones. My question is would that help out my performance?

No, Jason's right.. the injectors he's talking about are high-flow units. I believe they're the v8 high-flow ones, but 6 to a package instead of 8.

3.1 injectors should be the same unit as 2.8.. I'm not sure about the 3.4 ones.

Kind of like the Compucam (or is it Crane?) roller rockers are the same ones as for v8's, except the v6 ones have -12 after the part # and the v8's have -16.
