Best kind of injector cleaner

This is something I've been meaning to post for a while. What is the best fuel additive injector cleaner for our cars? I'm talking about the stuff like STP, Gumout, etc.

I loved the Slick 50 fuel treatment at 9.99 a bottle... Or I use the cheap 76cents STP stuff...

I love that cheap STP "Gas Treatment".. it's done the most to improve driveability & idle, out of all the expensive stuff I've tried.

I HAVE TOLD OF SOMETHING THAT IS SUPPOSESED TO BE THE SHIZNIT. IT IS DESCRIBED AS A "FIXAFLAT" LOOKING CAN THAT HAS A SCREW DOWN END. ON THE BACK SIDE OF INTAKE PLENTUM THERE IS A RECEPTICAL THAT IT SCREWS ON TO. PULL FUEL PUMP FUSE AND START CAR AND LET IT RUN UNTIL IT DIES AND HOOK BACK UP FUEL FUSE AND GO. I HAVE FOUND IT OVER THE PHONE AT NAPA AUTO PARTS FOR ABOUT 8-10 BUCKS

I use Castrol Syntec fuel system cleaner every 10k miles. For 7 bucks a bottle, it works good. One time I used it, I drove down the street, and all of a sudden the car bucked for a second, then ran smoother than before! Stuck particle somewhere? That was my guess!!

Either this or the Slick 50 are good IMO

J, I've always seen that Castrol stuff.. I was going to try it after my "broke at the racetrack" episode, but it didn't say anything about removing water. (I was guessing I had a ton of water in the gas...)

I'll have to give that Castrol stuff a try next time!

Yeah, I didn't see anything about water posted on the package either. I've been fortunate enough not to need anything for that yet.

Try it out though, its good stuff. With freshly cleaned injectors though, you're good for awhile

I'm not sure-- if my breaking at the track was really a stuck injector, maybe I loosened up some crap in the fuel rail that made it stick open?? Ah well, whatever..

HEY I should e-mail Rich at Cruizin' about this! I hope he gets back to me in time for tomorrow...

Personally, I like the cheap STP stuff. I just bought some today actually, and filled it w/ 93 octane. I noticed a big difference. It ran so much smoother on the ride home, and the idle was more stable. I recommend it
