No front turn signals, back works, have to manually "blink"

Glad i checked it out today. My signal stalk i have to flick MANUALLY, then it blinks the REAR indicators ONLY! And it appears to be a different bulb on each side. Weird!

So, not only is the "Flasher" or "Signal" unit (?) not operating (i have to flick it manual,) only those BEHIND me can see me signal, doesnt matter if im doing it or not, they cant see me in front. This is unsafe. I want to fix it, and im glad no cops ever are seeing me in oncoming traffic on a slow day/night..

So now iget to check out my Camaro's "Fuse Box" who knows what i will find in there, took a peek when the car didnt want to start hot and i STILL need to adjust the "Float" in the carb to eliminate my Hummer-like gas mileage, runs good but umm im wasting gas it can run the same on 1/3 or 1/2 less gas folks.

I also still hear a "Buzz" from steering column as car runs, its not the wiper motor though im ready to pull the fuse on it, the wipers dont flick i hear a "Buzz" from motor but it doesnt move wipers at all, i still hear a "Buzz" from steering column whole time car is running and i do NOT know what it is.

Where to start, what to do, ALL fuse locations, what do i need, cost ?

84 Camaro V6 2.8 Auto thanks.

Re: No front turn signals, back works, have to manually "blink"

I'd first by starting with the rear, to the left of the console under the dash is where the fuse breaker is for the carb (which would appear a jade green color) and a black fuse (that controls the delay, which makes the "blink"). The fuse runs about $12 and that is the best place to start. If that doesn't work then it is a very good chance that your cancel cam is out. For your front, I don't know except to check right there at where the wire connects to the bulb connector, I know over strain they end up snapping right at the boot. Good luck on your work, I gotta pull my engine in mine, leaks like a civ.

I had the same problem with my 89' firebird. Check all your sockets and make sure there getting power and grounding out. I ended up just having a bad light socket and just replaced it with a used one from a junked trans am.

Check all your grounds as well, and as stupid as it sounds check and make sure your fuses are good and you dont have any burnt out bulbs.

An easy way to determine which bulbs are blown or not working is to turn on your hazard switch.

Yeah it sounds like 2 front bulbs are out for some reason, could be bad bulb or socket, hopefully not a bad wire.
