s-10 headers in jegs

OK, i got the new jegs in the mail yesterday. I was looking in the exhaust section i had seen that edelbrock makes tubular exhaust for a s-10 2.8, does anyone know if these would work on a 2.8 camaro. I know about the custom y-pipe. and if that is all i need to do then i'm not worried about it. If anyone has any ideas let me know, thank you.

Hey bro check this out: I just bought a set of new but old discontinued set of headers for our 2.8L's. Some guy who owns a speed speed shop has 2 pairs of headers that were offered for our cars that were in production. Since Hooker sold so few of them they discontinued the line. I bought one pait and there is one more left. Contact Larry Simon at larry@propowerparts.com , but be willing to pay at least $195 for them b/c three other people on this board wants them too. Later bro.

Did you get them for $195 Brian? Also are you planning to coat them or not? It looks like they don't need a coating on them but I could be wrong.

Not much at all actually. I'll have to call him tomorrow and see whats up to see if I need to coat them. We both paid the same price for them, cool. I'm going to try that stuff from Jegs b/c Jet Hot is way too much money for me plus they don't know how to answer a f*ucking phone or return e-mails so screw em.
We'll be the most unique 3rd geners bro w/ the original Hooker headers made for our cars. Later bro

That's the beautiful part of it. The earlier 2.8L MPFI didn't have smog pumps and the AIR. All we have to do is bolt a hole into the passenger side header to mount the EGR. And everything will clear too b/c they were the original headers that were made for our engine. Then they will be legal for me in CA.

Where the hell would I even put the EGR at? IT's gotta mount somewhere so it's not flapping around everywhere.

Graeme's Firebird what do you mean I'll be in a world of hurt when it comes to smoging it. Granted they are not the CA version legal headers but once all the smog equipment is hooked on it shouldn't matter right? If I had the CARB numbers on there then they wouldn't even look at it but I don't see where I'm going to run into a problem b/c it should still easily pass smog, am I correct, that is what my mechanic told me.
Also the only thing that makes the headers legal in CA w/ the CARB #'s is that the ones for CA have all the smog fittings and stuff right? I also got a friend who owns a smog shop as well, so we shall see but let my know your thoughts as well. Thanx
