Quick Pole: Gathering?
Quick Pole: Gathering?
Alright, since I tried to split everyone up yesterday, today I will try to get everyone together.
Serious reponses, how many people are willing to drive half way across the country or further to a V6 gathering, and what's your location so I can find a mid-point?
Step at a time, lets first just here who would definately do it and where thet are now.
What's more tech then everyone getting together and showing their engines and mods? I for one would like to see 3.1 Firebird's headers, and see exactly what TomP means by "hot-rodded."

Reno,
I'd love to come, but i'm 17 years old and have an overprotective mother, so i'd be lucky to go out of state. Now, St. Louis is the center of the country and all, so i'd think that'd be a great place to come to.

Ok guys, we're gonna have to find a median place somewhere, which means ALL of us are gonna have to drive
I ain't asking all of you to come to MA LOL. We're just spread too far apart.
I gotta think we can come up with a common place...but I do realize its gonna be awful hard to get everyone together.

yeah come to California where you can actually DRIVE your car in the "winter". jeez, it was kinda warm today. about 78 degrees. although it's probably the same over in FLA and S Carolina, right??? i'd cry if i had to deal with snow every year.

Don't remind me! I gotta put my goddamned snow tires on this weekend!
Too bad you guys won't be able to drive through it though...the aftermath is messy, but snow driving when you have snows on 1 of these is SOOOO fun! It really teaches you the art of skid control, oversteer, understeer, etc. You haven't lived until you've swung the tail out on a thirdgen on a quiet road...nothing is more fun!
Dealing with the salt and sand sucks, but I still pity you guys
I'm voting for whichever coast has more people is the one we all haul our as*es too!
Better be near the east coast

I think that a V6 gathering would be a great idea! I would love to go as long as I didn't have to drive way too far. As for me something like Charlotte, Richmond, or ATL would be convenient, but it wouldn't for people on the west coast. Same as Cali isn't convenient for me here on the east coast. I kinda have to agree on the St Louis thing. I'd be willing to take a weekend and take a nice road trip as long as I could get one of my friends to go w/ me. I'm 18 so I don't think I'd have too much of a problem w/ the travel thing. It really need to be a place in the center of everyone.

Jason E, sounds good- if this gathering ever takes hold, who knows, maybe we could meet in a different state & get a caravan going for the rest of the way.
Did you know about the NEthirdgen.org gathering? They held one in Pennsylvania, and 20 or so of the NEthirdgen.org guys went. I found out about it a month too late.
I can go wherever, as long as I have the funds. Also chances are good I'd bring my girl with me, so we'd both have to coordinate schedules... and please don't make it on a major holiday. I had to miss out on v6fbody.com's gathering because it was Memorial Day Weekend- one where I always have plans.

For any kind of cruising, Daytona Beach is the best. Right near the speedway for racing, much smaller neon strip then vegas, but still nice, and cruising on the beach, like actually on the sand all day long. And only a one day drive (1300 miles or so) from Chicago. =)

I agree w/ you Reno. Daytona Beach would rule! Not too bad of a drive for me either. I'd love to take my car on the beach. My gf's dad took his Catera out there over the summer.
