Air box?

Air box?

on my V6 can i just take the metal air filter holder of and hook my K&N striaght to the plastic pipe. There is a Wire that connects to the holder, does it matter if i disconnect it or is important. haha, thanks for info, later.

yeah it's important...if you disconnect it your SES light will come on. the sensor is your MAT sensor and it's basically measuring the temp of incoming air. you could always cut a hole in a part of the intake hose and mount it there.

It's a MAP engine instead of MAF. Doesn't have a MAF, and I'm pretty sure it's sans IAT/MAT too. So that setup would be REAL easy on that engine. It'd be just about as easy on ours, though, you just need to replace a section of the tubing with your MAF, and then poke a small hole somewhere for the IAT/MAT.

I jus tput a 4.7 ohm resistor were my IAC used to be im thinking of goin up to about 7+ becasue now im running way to rich the lower the resistor the colder your computer thinks it is and the high resistor it will think its hotter outside

so just poke a hole in the mtal part of that picture and put that sensor in there?
