Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
so i got the bolt holes for the super to bolt on drilled and i tapped the threads into the intake manifold. I also made the first cut for the air passage... here is a idea for improving the looks of the blower
and bl85c i haven't wrote any code for the 165' if that was your question to me??

I know its a civic

Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
Sorry my project has been put on the wayside for getting graduation requirements and last minute teacher projects I had to get done... I have the plate milled and mounted to the intake manifold but I still have to get some money and get a wide band o2 sensor and the fmu and do the tubing for re routing the throttle body, I have decided how im going to move the TB and where its goin to go ill run up some pictures of that when I can

Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
Just a couple of thoughts...
I am NOT an EFI or ECM programming professor, but depending on where you got that blower from, those 21# injectors might not work right. Last time I used Buick (or GM 3800) injectors, they were "peak and hold" type injectors and were not exactly compatible with the mpfi V6. A friend did something with some Radio Shack resistors and used them, but I don't know what that was!!!
And, maybe instead of the intake you're using (I know you're on a budget) why not go to the wrecking yard and get the 2.8/3.1 carb or TBI intake to use? I know my TBI intake was also aluminum, and it seems it would be easier to adapt? With all the milling you are doing, you are obviously talented enough to cut off the injector bungs and TIG them onto the TBI intake. I'm just saying...

Good luck!!

Thanks for letting me know the 21 lb injectors wont work unless u do something with a resistor... it would be great if u could find out how he used and what size resistor he used
Uhm ill see what I can get for a pictures to post up on where im at

Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
it will be easier to just get the right injectors, basically u would build 2 resitor packs and wire them up so the ecm sees the low x injectors as high z injectors.
alls the resitors do is increase the ohms the ecms sees
goto the junkyard and find a 350/305 tpi motor and snag the injectors out of it
edit
lol i almost forgot i have a fairly new set of 21's i pulled out of my iroc that i replaced with precision 65# injectors
i was asking 50$s for them if u want them, (set of 8)
btw diyautotune has the inovate mtx-l on sale for 189 bucks its an upgrade from the old lc-1 units and feedback has been great on them

the vortec adjustable is a good unit, with a simle bleeder valve.or cheao boost controller u can actually fine tune them

Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
been a long time since i posted up any progress here but this is what im up to now on this.... first off i switched to my now "project" vehicle so i can have it apart for the few days ive been working on things

there is what will be out of the hood

I drilled the holes to mount it to the intake plate

and now i am fabricating the intake tubing to the throttle body
the only thing i found about switching vehicles is that this vehicle's drive pulley is larger and is going to push the m62 to the max... which will be 12+ psi at 6000 rpms

Re: top mount m62 supercharged v6 camaro
Just to let people know I dropped this project I had it together but the blower was off at a slight angle from the engine drive pulley and the belt wouldn't stay on... With a better milling machine (than I used) and some more thought on the design possibly with an adjustable mounting system (between the S/C and intake) this is entirely possible I went to a different setup with a v1 vortech centrifugal supercharger. I may come back to this someday just to see if I can make it work.
Vortech build if interested

need slotted hole downs for fine alignment, no car would be 100% dead on anyways.

Have any of you guys tried to put an m112 supercharger on a 2.8? I'v heard of people putting them on mustangs and I wonder if I could put one on my 89 trans am with the 2.8.
