Code 43 help needed
My 91 rs 3.1 is my daily driver and last summer it started giving me code 43 so I replaced the knock sensor and that worked for a while but 3-4 months later it came back on. As far as drivability I doon't notice it a whole lot but when the car is warm theres a little bit of an intermittent miss that happens on occasion. I don't know if thats realated or not but I'm putting new plug wires on and getting a new ignition coil and will clear my codes soon but if anyone else has this issue or any other ideas let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!

Re: Code 43 help needed
Do a full tune up and then clear the code to see if it comes back. In the case of code 43, there aren't many things that go bad in the 90-92 cars. It's either the sensor, the wire between the sensor and ECM (including the connector), the ECM, or the MEMCAL. There is no ESC module on the 3.1 as the board is inside the MEMCAL...

Ok I did a tune up last year but didn't do wires and the sensor was new last year too so I'll try wires and see what happens
