OMG!! Want $10 Plug Wire Sets?!? Get in here NOW!!! Stock up!

Wow. WOW! I just ordered 4 sets of plug wires! I'm not sick, either....

Go to Crane Cam's website. That's http://www.cranecams.com - go there now! Click on "Performance Store" on the left-hand bar. They're closing out their FireWire Custom plug wire sets!

Click on Custom sets, then click on "Chevy" or "Pontiac", whatever your flavor. (Same parts, anyway.)

I just scored a few sets of 8.5mm plug wires for my 87-88 (really my '86, but same engine code of "S") 2.8 for.... $10 each!! Those things usually went for $50/set!!

92-90 3.1 guys (3.1 engine code "T"), there's no more 8.5mm sets for you- but it's still one HELL of a deal! You can get an 8.0mm set for $8.00/set, and those usually ran $40/set! How bout 'that!!

However... I don't see any for the 82 (to 84) 2.8's. Here's something to try, though! If you're an 82-84 guy, and know what I'm talking about- I can't see the wire lengths being that different for 82-84 carb and 85-89 multiport. The key problem here would be if the terminals on your spark plug cap are the "normal" HEI towers. If they are, you should be good to go with getting 2.8 MPFI plug wires. If not, well, I don't know, you could buy them and try to make them work- for $8 it's not really a shot in the foot, eh? However: If you don't mind some extra work, you can buy a "Universal" set, not "custom", for a V6, in Yellow, for $8! That means you make your own. The only "closeout universal V6" $8 ones are the yellow/135 degree plug boots.

Laugh at the V8 owners, because none are available. They couldn't even buy two sets of our V6 wires, because they'd be too short. Hah, hah!

Oh- Crane has free shipping (unless you're in a few select states...)

[edited to make more sense of my 82-84 2.8 rambling!]

I noticed that you said there was no 82-84 plug sets,

But I saw 82 Camaro 6 cylinder wires listed under the Chevrolet Camaro section....

You guys are welcome!

They're out of the '82 plug wire sets, Joe_L. If you click on them, you'll see "Sorry, no longer available", with no way to add them to your shopping cart.

You're welcome! (Got a laugh out of the $30 next-day-air shipping... those wires wouldn't have been a bargain anymore! ) And FastRS, I answered your other post on this: https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/001361.html

Ok, by mistake i bought 87-88 spark plug wires, 8.5mm, instead of 86-87 wires. Is this gonna be a problem? Is there any difference at all? I wouldn't think so, but i don't know, so im asking. A quick reply would be nice, so i can contact them if i need to. thanks guys!

I agree. I bought the 87-88 plug wires for my '86, also. In fact from working on my friend's '89 2.8 and my '86 2.8, the wires are exactly the same. I don't know where Crane came up with those years.
