What's up J-
On another post I asked you about getting a Grand Am GT ram air setup for my SE. You ever find anything out about that? Part numbers? Price?
Thanks

Mike,
Sorry this took so long, as the board was obviouisly not working...
My service manager said it SHOULD work...our parts computer was down on Friday (friggen old *** POS), so I have nothing for ya as of yet.
I did crawl under one though (gotta admit, in a shirt and tie I didn't wanna get too comfortable
), and I don't see why you couldn't do it either. I mean, the Ram Air on a GA is pretty much just a lower restriction airbox...not like there's any scoops on it or anything!!!
I will get you prices on Friday for what I think you will need...my gut tells me though that you would be happier with spending your $$ on an SLP exhaust for the '99 up GA's. If these parts add up to $300 (which would not surprise me), I would urge you to spend another $100 or so and get the exhaust. The Ram Air may have 5 extra HP, but a lot of that is due to the lower-restriction exhausts the GT's have.
Regardless, I will get you the info.

Thanks man. I probably wont be doing anything w/ the GA for a while though, til I finish the Camaro. But it would be nice to know what I can do that wont mess up the warranty.

I am almost POSITIVE of one thing...as long as you use GM parts, you cannot void the warranty. Don't ever let any dealer tell you differently. SLP parts also do not void your warranty.
If you were to convert to a Ram Air GA GT box, I see no reason why you would have your 3/36 warranty voided, so long as everything was installed properly.
As for prices, we are having MAJOR problems down at work with the computer, and they are in the process of converting to a new system. Your best bet for getting an answer to prices in the next few days would be to go to any local GM dealer. Within 10 min they should have prices for you. Just ask for prices for anything regarding a Ram Air airbox...they should be able to pull the schematics right up.
