thats my idea
it has some flaws but i can take care of them i just have to figure out where to place the MAT sensor
most of it is flexible aluminum vent piping except for the T-pipe and K&N housing
all piping is 4 inches what had to be done was: for hood clearance, i had to "crush" down the flex-pipe and put sheetmetal coverings over it for protection
the flex pipe is a little weak and looks a bit sloppy so i am looking for alternatives, but it should hold up
sorry for the bad perspective on the pic, (i'm not picasso) thank god i'm not, cuz then i would have a multi-color camaro hehehehe

You are trying to duplicate what I have been trying to create.
I am using a Camaro air cleaner, still trying to figure out where to mout the air inlet.
Check out my thread, Who has cut up their hood?
Photopoint ain't so bad.
For me, it's easier to use than make a web page.
Don't give up!
Keep trying ideas.
Try doing this to a Firebird.
What hood clerance!

Has anyone ever thought of this idea? I just got my RS V6 about 4 months ago and since I want to swap in a LS-1 I'm trying to get free power out of my V-6 for the time being. I got to thinking, why do we need two headlights?.... I work for a mech. contractor so I had the shop guys make ma a couple of 6X4 into 3"round sheetmetal transitions. I covered each one with black aluminum bugscreen and installed them into the outside headlight spots (low beam). I then re-located the low beam lights to the center positions, and removed the high beam lights altogether. Then I removed that stupid snorkel from the factory air intake can and routed an adjustable sheet metal elbow from the passenger side transition through the hole where the headlight used to be and into the intake can. The car looks killer and runs about 20 degrees cooler. Throttle response is also a lot better. I'll try and post some pictures if I can get ahold of a digital camera.

You have almost duplicated what I'm attempting to do for my Firebird.
After I pass smog, I get out the JB Weld for some creating a similar idea.

Ok... try running the tubes behide the radiator and split them to go to either side of the bottom plastic spoiler... the heat from the radiator will be negated by the shear flow of air. But you can get some aluminum sheeting to make the tubes or but flashing in front of the tube to decrease the temp even further.
By the design above you can run this with the dual intake tube or single. You can even rund a large 3 inch or so pipe from the throttle body to the bottom of the radiator then notch and cut it. Then connect it to another tube and run that tube to either end of that plastic thing and elbow the tube and put the scoops their. You will have to use a Cone K&N.
To remove the headlights is not just plain dumb, its illegal!!!!

How can removing 2 of the headlights be illegal? 90% of the cars on the road only have two
. Besides, the high beams still work with just the two bulbs.

From: First one out of liberty city, burn it to the ground
because all things visibilty wise (headlights, windshield, winshield wipers) all have to be intact the way they left the factory.

You guys are killing me here. With just the low beam bulbs I still have low beam/high beam functionality. I've had the conversion for about 3 weeks and 1200 miles and not even been looked at funny by the police. I don't want to get into a big arguement, so I'll just leave it at that.

I don't see what would be wrong with converting a 4-headlight system to a 2-headlight.. but, inspection guys are picky. I'd say call someone and find out. Maybe if you call some local garages (not state-owned) that do inspection, they could give you a real answer. I don't think a cop would argue, either, as long as you showed that you had the high/low headlights in.
