New take on Ram-Air Opinions?

I have a feeling I'm just begging for trouble. I tried a new idea in 3rd gen Ram-Air technology (at least I think it's a new idea). I just wanted to get opinions from different people. So far I've heard about the same number of good & bad comments. Two things first : The low beams & High beams still work, it is legal (at least up here in WA). Let me know what you think. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=1742507&f=0

OKAY!
Now, explain how the hi/lo beam works.
You guys are lucky, as you have that "arm" outta the coffee can.
What I would add-
Look at your home fan above the stove.
See that great steel mesh screen?
I'd insert that in the front! Paint it black to hide it.
You have almost accomplished my idea for my Firebird.
I'm awaiting the trans to be fixed on my Firebird before I play with that car again.

Actually I took off that stupid little arm. The duct going from the headlight transition to the air can is an adjustable elbow I got at Home Depot. I was thinking about putting some kind of filter up front in the transition instead of using the stock filter but it's hard to find something reliable to fit in a 4x6 rectangle. Maybe a motorcycle K&N????

BTW, the High-low beam thing:
I moved the low beam bulbs and their harnesses to the center positions. Ummmm that's it! Try disconnecting your highbeam bulbs and turn on your switch. The low beam bulbs do both!

i dont really see how that can be considered true ram air since the low beam fixture is blocking the air from being "rammed" into the intake, just my opinion...

Nope, it's legal. All your vehicle has to have when it comes to headlights is a high beam and a low beam. Since he put in the type of bulbs that have both (how else do you think cars get away with only 2 headlights) then it's legal.

I like it man. I wish I could do that, but...uh...it's kinda a little bit harder for me.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea? I mean I did the same thing but kept the LIGHTS together. Just put a 3" tube right behind the HB light on that O thats behind the light. It works great. Just cut the tube going from the air box and put a 3" tube where it was to where the tube goes from the O to the other O in the airbox. Works great and makes it to where you can use BOTH head lights. BUT I'm sure your's will out perform mine. Mine just looks better
