I run 93 octane in my 83 firebird w/2.8L it helps preformance alot, gives a good kick. I can feel a preformance gain because I have a carb but i don't know if you will feel a gain with fuel injection, if you have F.I.

87 for me. 92 isn't neccesary for an engine with 8.8:1 compression.

ive been switching between 87 with nos octane boost, and the next tank 110 octane race gas/ half 87... seems to be giving me great gas mileage so far

Hell, I'd run mine in water if it works.
I use 87 in my 3.4 conversion.
I even use 87 in the old 1974 350 Corvette & 87 in my Wife's 1968 6 cylinder.
I'd rather go with a colder range plug, that compensates for everything.
