I'm guessing low 16's or even late, late 15's cuz I've whooped some late 15 second cars and kept up with some low 15 second cars. I know this because these cars were my buddy's and they've taken them to the track. But true test is when I take mine to the track. I'll let yall know when I do. payce.

3.1firebird had a pretty quick ride, he ran a 16 flat, but was corrected to a 15.9 or so. That's with many mods.

If I'm not mistaken, 3.1 has an auto. These 60* motors have a narrow power band and would greatly benifit from a manual tranny. If he ran a 15.9, he'd prolly turn in a 15.5 with the manual trans, given all other conditions are equal. Plus, I live in a generaly cooler area and at sea level so cars would be faster out here than say the Grand Canyon. Anyway, I'm not claming any numbers, I'm just giving my predictions based on other peoples runs. Aight payce.

After I get the tranny, I hope to find out.
Gave the guy 1/2 the money yesterday.
I have my ram air idea in front of me, awaiting the running car.

But, I have to build my air inlet, first.
So far, required pieces are another passenger side turn signal housing and another air cleaner top lid. Heat gun, JB Weld. Sure hope this idea works. Can't wait to make the car move again.
I'm gonna try racing at Carlsbad, San Diego area.
Wish Brotherhood Race way was open, again.
Stupid Long Beach people.

Karl, thats cool, man. I keep on thinking each day about how cool the 3.4 is gonna be in my camaro. I figure to, that if my engine goes before i can build up the 3.4, i'll still have enuff dough to put in a stock 3.4. It's a really cool idea to up to a larger 6, it even took the idea of a small block outta my mind completely

The 3.4 swap is really a very wise option, that can work, so well, in your favor. So little to change/alter and so much fits/swap over.
IT'S A GREAT OPTION, that can work in your favor.
I really can't wait to drive that car again. I really like my old 1974 Corvette, but.... that Firebird is such a well balanced ride.

well i don't own a 3rd gen anymore, but my 94' 3.4 w/a t-5 went 13.1 w/a 2.2 60 ft'. once i get my posi rear in i shoud be 12.9 or below. ohh and just so i don't get flamed, no its not stock. all forged, ported and polished head, match ported, 3-way angeled valve job, headers, cat-back, bored over .030, MSD ignition, runs off of CALMAP not stock computer, dual plate centerforce clutch, and Venom kit running 125 shot.

Will, ever heard of James? He's got a 13 second 3.8 V6; with about the same mods as you. Sweet looking engine, too. I got the chance to meet up with him once in Englishtown. He hangs out at http://www.camaroz28.com in the V6 area... there's a lot of 4th gen guys over there.

My latest quarter mile time is 17.04 ... quarter mile time before any mods was 16.87; either I've done something completely wrong, or my 217,000 mile engine is kinda tired.
