Dynomax vs Flowmaster vs Borla...

Supposedly, any V8 exhaust will either fit (or can be made to fit) a V6. So, on that note, I know Borla is best, but has anyone heard one on a 6?? I suspect not, but I figured I'd ask...

As for the other two, I know the Flowmaster would be louder, but does it sound GOOD??

I think you can find borla in summit. IM not sure tho. Borma is more expensive and louder than Dino and Flowmstr.

Buy the dynomax and a catco high flow converter. For the cost off the Borla you can also toss in a NOS system for your 6 to go with your dynomax catback.

I have never heard a Borla on a third gen V6 but I have heard then on a 4th gen and I think it sounds like crap. It had no deep tone or anything. It just sounded like a stock V6 exhaust. Though, on a V8 it does sound awesome. Stick to the dynomax!

AntiVTEC brings up a good point that I am a little concerned about. I am concerned that if I put the wrong one on, I'll be sorry in the long run.

Right now, rather than doing Borla, I plan on doing the Dynomax and taking the extra and getting my 300+ box from Summit...good way to spend $350 or so?? How reliable are aftermarket ignition boxes?

i had a new I-pipe, flowmaster 80 series, and new tailpipes put on last week. The sound is freakin' awesome, i wouldn't trade it for the world. between idle and 3k the sound is scary, and will make v8 guys run, duck, and cover, although above 3k it sounds like a v6. but the only way your car won't sound like a v6 above 3k, is by putting a v8 in place of it. Motors sound certain ways, a foreign 4 cyl. sounds like bumble bees, american 6's sound evil down low with exaust, and 8's sound evil down low, and throaty up top. That's the combination of 8 cylinders, erratic firing orders, and large bore and stroke, that's america for ya. if ya want an aggressive tone from a v6, get that flowmaster, and a high flow cat, you won't regret it. Unless you hate loud cars.
