true duals, you can do it

not that i'm gonna do it, but i was on the highway today and was passed by this girl driving a third gen rally sport. Well, under the car i noticed two flowmasters looked like 40 series mounted before the rear axel. It was pretty pimp, if i learn how i'll make sure i post some pics of it a little later. well, actually it'd be a pic of a drawing of it, but you get the point. The clearence under the car was a little less, but it still looked like the vehicle had about 3. And with the horrible missouri roads, but combined with our stiff suspension 3 inches of room is more than enough. I just thought it was amazing that it could be done.
a pic would look kinda like this.

the [] are the mufflers, there was no tail pipes extending to the rear, and the car sounded freaking awesome. Anyway, that's all for now. peace.

well the car was a rally sport, but the sound was all V8, not a hint of six in there at all. And this was at highway speed, and she was hitting the gas pretty hard at times where a six would have identified itself with flowmasters or not. Oh, and yeah the girl was pretty damn cute, probably my age range too, problem was i wasn't driving my car, and the girl turned off the highway, so tomarrow I'll take the bird out and drive on every backroad until i see that red RS with the dual flows. But to be honest, the car was loud as hell, and sounded evil as satan too.

85f, you do know RS's were known to come with 305s both TBI and TPI.. I see more v8 RS's than I see sixers...

i know that RS's came with both v6's and v8's. didn't think they came with tuned port though, i'll i've ever seen in a rally sport was TBI, but anyway. This one wasdefinately a v8, no v6 to it, trust me. i wasn't saying it was a v6 that sounded v8'y, all v8. Anyway, it might have been an aftermarket 350 too, cause it sounded louder than a 305 with open exaust (a friend of mine used to run one like that) and being that anyone running true duals, most likely without dual cats, isn't to worried about emessions, so, i would think that she coulda dropped anything any there she wanted.

Have you guys ever seen a Go-Kart with a 5 HP briggs & stratton engine on it? Sure you have.

Now have you ever seen the same example with a 3" dual exhaust on it? No. Why? Cause its stupid and overkill

Just like duals on a 6 popper.....oooooooooh. I'm special. I got duals. Guess it makes up for the lack of cylinders. Makes it a real race car now

I still don't get it

Funny... i have to comment on afew things.... if ya all go back the the thread that was closed i qouted a line from Iroc's email to me.... yet then he says in a reply in the SAME thread he states "theres none if ANY V6'ers" yet in the email to me he says theres LOTS of 10 second V6'er with blowers.... Iroc sir.... which is it? are you just confused?... ya know bro... i took a look at your profile, under interests it say you like fast cars and big hooters.... My assumtion of you is you have neither, your iroc isn't fast and you haven't any hooters that will give ya the time of day. So i think you are here after getting thrown off countless other boards trying desperately to get a boy toy.... Sad in a way, i suppose to each there own tho... If your ever in the Irving/dallas area please look me up (Dmruff1@yahoo.com) i would LOVE to introduce ya to afew fast cars including mustangs - there fast as in 10 and 11 second range. Oh thats 1/4 mile, not 1/8th... As far as your pathetic posts, you REALLY need to remember what you say - it will come back and bite ya in the *** - oppsss i forgot, thats what you are hoping for - on more then one level....

Mr. Moderator - really - i tried to keep this one clean (grin) lock away.....

V6 guys, sorry for getting the posts locked - this nut case (oppsss wrong choice of words) this person is rather intertaining...

David

It's a good thing the '89 20th Anniversary Trans Ams' weren't six cylinders, or they'd really suck huh? Oh yeah, grand nationals & gnx's are really 8cylinders, with 2 of them covered with magic "invisability" dust so they just look like 6's.

Yea.. you figured it right there buddy. Geez, you must be the smartest person on the board. Oops.. wrong word, i meant to say the STUPIDEST person on the board. How the hell can u afford a camaro? A person with such a limited iq such as yourself should be driving a 25 year old yugo...

review your posts, you never said NA v6, I guess you weren't there and didn't even know it. And what about the turbo six's...you sound aprehensive, but then your tpi should have no trouble with them, they're just v6s .

Theory: Maybe he got spanked by so many other v8s (maybe even rice), he has to rag on the sixers to make himself feel better.

Now on to the real topic... Ifigure if you want to go trual duals, go for it. From reading other posts, you will probably be doing some experimenting with mufflers to get the sound you want at all rpms, good luck.
