Identifying a 2.8 V6?

Is there any way to know what application a 2.8 came from? I have a new 2.8 but have no idea if it is FWD, RWD, High Output, or gutless. Are the casting marks or something to look for?

Starter is on what would be the drivers side if it was in a RWD car. In my Fiero that is the front.

That's a FWD block, there's a guy that sells a starter jig for 3.4 swaps for fiero's that could easily be used to drill out the holes for the starter on the passenger side for a RWD car.
