2.8 CAMSHAFT PROBLEM HELP ¡¡¡¡ (NON FBIRD)
Hi guys i have a problem with a Pontiac Fiero of a friend of mine buts its a 2.8 som maybe you can help me
Well its a Crossed 2.8 ..evrytime i start the car the Hydraulic lifters sound like they are out of oil ...then they keep quiet when the car is running ..then when im cruising and the i turn to the left in a curve the camshaft seems to move and hit in the timing cover ...making a sound of the timing chain goin against the cover
Please what is happening ? Help me please
Remember the Fiero has Rear Wheel drive but with the system of Front wheel drive (the engine is crossed)thats why i turn left and the cam come against the timing cover

The cam wont move in & out while turning. I'd look at the exhaust heat shields and engine mounts for the source of the turing left noise. The noise with the lifters when starting is the signs of high/hard miles, they are worn out. Sounds like a rebuild is in order.
