stripped threads

The flywheel to crankshaft threads on one of the bolt holes stripped. What is the procedure for fixing this. If tapped will I need to get a oversized custom bolt? Desperate for information.

The easiest thing to do is to take that bolt that goes into the hole to your automotive store and tell them that you need a Heli-Core set for this built. That way they can match up your thread size. The kit will come with the drill bit and tap that you will need and of course the heli core. Be warn though the kits aren't cheap.

Helicoils are very easy to do.
Drill out, tap & insert new, replace bolt.
Drag part is buying the kit.
Maybe keep asking until you find one to "rent ya" the tool.
I'm looking to rent a coil spring compressor right now. I've got two cars for coil spring jobs to do.

You don't need the compresor for the rears but you will need them for the fronts. The fronts are at an angle and if they happen to let lose your could be in a world of hurt.

As foor the strip bolt. You can buy what is called a "tap and die" kit. This is better then then the Heli-coil. If you use the coil and end up having to take the olt out again they sometimes come out with the bolt and then you have to put another in again. With the Tap and Die you rethread the hole all together. which I feel is the better route to go.
